My Best Buy Members: New Changes To Go In Effect Starting August 28th

Mark your calendar! Best Buy is making some updates to the My Best Buy Member program starting August 28th.

Although Best Buy members currently receive 1 point for every $1 spent, you will only receive 0.5 points for every $1 spent starting 8/28. And remember ? for every 250 My Best Buy points you receive, you will be eligible to receive a $5 reward certificate.

According to the update, My Best Buy members will also be able to score free 2-Day shipping (with no annual fee) on thousands of items sold on BestBuy.com. However, this is no mention about whether you need to meet a certain minimum (currently $35) or whether this free shipping will require no minimum purchase.
