If you’re planning to visit Savannah, Ga anytime soon, you need to check out this great deal (this is one of my favorite places to visit!) Right now you can score this Escape Kit for only $399 (regularly $577)! It includes:
This “awesome place” has a “great location,” “beautiful accommodations,” and a “wonderful” staff. In short, it’s “perfection.” —Raves from LivingSocial Members
The Destination
There are few places that are simultaneously eccentric and dignified, holding fast to their gracious and grandiose history while also teeming with unapologetic vivacity. And yet, these are precisely the complementary disparities with which Savannah bewitches visitors time and time again. “With its gorgeous mansions, cotton warehouses, and Colonial public buildings, Savannah preserves its past with pride, grace, and a slight smirk,” says Lonely Planet. “Savannah revels in being the bad girl… and in some ways it resembles a pint-sized New Orleans. Savannah loves its sinful pleasures, be they cheese grits [or] cocktails.”
The Digs
Appease your craving for all things stately and luxurious with this Escape to the Lowcountry at Presidents’ Quarters Inn, a lodging regularly awarded Best Savannah Inn and Best Local Romantic Inn/B&B by Savannah magazine. Sixteen guest rooms—each of which is named after a former commander-in-chief who visited the city—boast antiques and traditional furnishings, refurbished bathrooms, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The inn’s other amenities include on-site parking, nightly turndown service, and staff assistance for town activities.
The Diversions
Discuss the day’s agenda over a complimentary breakfast for two each morning, which may include Anna’s Pecan Praline French Toast, homemade quiche, and an assortment of fresh fruit. The historic district of Savannah is right outside your door, so rent some wheels from Bicycle Link to scoot around town; stop by the famous Leopold’s Ice Cream for a scoop or two; and then stroll over to the inn’s neighbor, the Owens-Thomas House, considered one of the best examples of English Regency architecture in the country. In the evening, unwind in the inn’s garden with wine, hors d’oeuvres, and classic Southern hospitality.
